Sidney Bechet是爵士歷史裏面非常著名的一位黑管手，在新奧爾良出生，後來受到法國人民的熱烈愛戴，以 “Pettie Fleur” 一曲成名。Sheik of Araby是一首standard的爵士老曲子，任何行內人都會知道，任何樂隊也都會在某個階段某個時期演奏。這首歌最著名的版本應該是來自Fats Waller. 但是，Sidney Bechet這個版本也是獨一無二的，因為全部管弦樂的聲部都是分別由他自己來錄製，然後再重疊在一起的。One man band, with a clarinet. 一人樂隊。
Sidney Bechet was a famous clarientist in jazz history, born in New Orleans, loved by the French. He became famous through his song "Pettie Fleur". "Sheik of Araby" is an old jazz standard, any jazzer knows it, every band has to play it too as some point. The most famous version known is by Fats Waller; however, Sidney's version is alternatively unique. He played all the parts himself, then dubed them on top of each layer. In this particular song, he was a one man band.
